I invite you to a session where we'll use associative metaphorical cards as a tool to explore your chosen theme or question. It is a way to reveal unacknowledged needs, access resources, understand inner conflicts. Or simply see your situation from a new angle.
Metaphorical associative cards is a projection based self-reflection tool. The deck consist of words and images that can form endless combinations. Images do not have pre-defined meanings or explanations. Each of us will have different interpretations that stem from our unique expressions and life experiences. In other words, what you see in the cards says something about you.
As a gestalt therapist, i will invite you to take your time and really notice what you’re experiencing right now, in the meeting with words and images. Thoughts, impulses, body sensations - it’s all valuable information about the theme you choose to explore.
Our session will be one concentrated deep-dive into a single theme. You can bring a particular question that is present in your life today or we can be open to what comes up once we meet. In my experience insights and feelings might keep on coming after the session is over. Things might click into place days or weeks after. Stay curious.
Since this is a single meeting with no planned follow up, I encourage you to not bring themes that are particularly sensitive, painful or even remotely in the realm of trauma. It is safer to explore them in a continuous therapeutic relationship. Take care of yoursel.
